COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course is designed to educate both talent and venues on how the live-music booking system actually works — with a special focus on ongoing VENUE RESIDENCY PERFORMANCES.

DEFINITION: A VENUE RESIDENCY PERFORMANCE is a recurring booking in which a venue hires select or rotating talent for ongoing live music. These can run weekly, monthly, or even daily, depending on the venue’s needs.

Note: Identifying the different types of gigs is covered in a separate course.

Recurring venue bookings are the foundation of the gigging industry because they create stability and visibility for everyone involved:- Musicians earn consistent, reliable income and protected terms.

- The public experiences live music REGULARLY and discovers who to book next

- Venues gain access to world-class talent at a fraction of the cost of a show or corporate event

-Musicians earn consistent, reliable income under clear, protected terms

While Berly World facilitates all types of bookings, this course focuses on **venue residency bookings** — because that’s where everyday professional working musicians live and thrive.

THE MISSION:

to make RESIDENCY VENUE BOOKINGS sustainable, professional, and protected for both talent and venues.
