Jermaine Lockhart is a Phoenix-based tenor saxophonist whose sound blends gospel roots, jazz sophistication, and soulful contemporary influence. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jermaine grew up immersed in music ministry at his father’s Pentecostal church, where his father served as pastor. That early foundation shaped both his musical voice and his belief that music should move the spirit as much as the listener.

A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory, Jermaine has built a career rooted in both artistry and purpose. He currently serves as horn section leader at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, continuing the legacy of ministering through music while performing professionally across a wide range of stages and audiences.

Jermaine has recorded with acclaimed platinum producer Preston Glass and collaborated on projects connected to legendary artists including Ray Parker Jr. and The Spinners. His album Back to the Sunshine, produced by ten-time Grammy Award winner George Benson, topped the U.K. charts, while his follow-up release, Serious Business, also achieved international success, reaching No. 5 in the U.K.
